On other hand, the xDrive28i includes features that other vehicles don't, like the heads-up display and an owner's manual built directly into iDrive.Home Backblaze review Backblaze cloud backup review TechRada While many of the features are among the best in the segment, even the rearview camera and Remote Services app for door locking/unlocking cost extra, even though they come standard on many competitors. Meanwhile, BMW Online adds local search but requires a subscription. The same goes for the larger screen and the BMW Apps that leverage data from your connected smartphone for streaming services like Pandora and Spotify. For example, the touchpad on top that allows you to input characters for a navigation destination or an address book contact by tracing them with a finger is part of the Technology Package option. But to get the best features it costs more.
How's the Tech? While it has its quirks, the iDrive controller is one of the better infotainment interfaces available.

You also get the iDrive infotainment interface, navigation, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and a seven-speaker audio system with CD, AM/FM HD radio, and a USB port. Other standard features include 18-inch wheels, hill descent control, engine stop-start, M sport suspension, automatic wipers, a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, eight-way power front seats with driver memory settings, and a heads-up display. What Does It Come With? The xDrive28i is available with only one engine: a 2.0-liter inline, 4-cylinder engine rated at 228 horsepower that's coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. With a $995 destination charge, the final sticker rings up at $43,945.
Our test car also includes a $550 Cold Weather package, a $1,150 Driver Assistance package, a $3,250 Premium Package, a $2,550 Technology Package, an optional $300 slide-and-recline rear seat, and a $350 wood Fineline trim option. How Much? The BMW X1 xDrive28i is available in only one trim level that has a base price of $34,800. In addition, a lot of amenities that you think would be standard, like a rearview camera, cost extra. And although Minis aren't exactly snails, the standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine is less powerful than the one of the outgoing X1. The X1 also now shares a front-wheel drive architecture with corporate sibling Mini Cooper, and is no longer based on the rear-wheel drive 3 Series. Taller and wider, it's much roomier on the inside, while the sheet metal has an eye-catching look. The all-new 2016 BMW X1 xDrive28i is almost the opposite. Previous models were fun to drive, but had an odd look and exceptionally tight passenger space. But we never felt that way about the baby BMW X1 entry-level crossover. We consistently find that we prefer most things about BMW cars compared with the competition, such as comfort, performance, and tech.
